PREPARING FOR A COOPERATIVE ADVENTURES
PROGRAM

What are some things I can do with my class to prepare for a Cooperative Adventures Program?

bulletRead and discuss my Introductory Letter to a Class.

bulletRemind your class to dress appropriately, e.g. prepared for active participation in both physical and mental challenges.  (viz. no skirts, dresses, sandals, flip-flops, etc.)

bulletIf your class has never had a C.A. experience -- brainstorm what the title Cooperative Adventures might suggest.

bulletIf your class has worked with me before:

bulletWhat was your favorite challenge?

bulletWhat do you remember about Mr. Nettell?

bulletWhat posters were your favorites?

bulletWhat kinds of things do we need to remember to be successful?

bulletIf you have children who are new to your school and have never worked with me before -- ask your class to "bring them up to speed" by telling them the important things they will need to know.  (e.g. He only gives directions once.)

What are some things I, as a teacher, can do to prepare for a Cooperative Adventures Program?

bulletRead the Classroom Management Techniques and Strategies Page.

bulletReview the Follow-Up Pages from this website with an eye towards structuring a plan for continuing the progress that will be made during the program so as to maximize this for you and your class.

bullet Send me an email telling me about your class, anything I need to know to work with them most effectively, as well as your goals and objectives for this program.

bulletBring a loaded and charged camera (video and/or still camera) to capture images for future use.  (See Photos Page)

bulletLocate your Cooperative Adventures poster collection (if you have one) so that we can use them on the day of your program.
