PHOTOS?

So -- what can we do with the photos that I've taken of Cooperative Adventures challenges (or photos Dave has taken and given to us)?

Using these photos is a great way to extend and reinforce the learning that has taken place during the challenges as well as a way to share this information with others.

bulletCreate a bulletin board to display the photos.  Have children add their "captions" to the photos.  Multiple captions for each photo are interesting and allow for many viewpoints.

bulletHave a group of children work together to compose a written narrative description of the challenge.  Present this to the class orally and ask for feedback.  Edit/rewrite the description and add to the bulletin board mentioned above.

bulletBrainstorm the skills that were necessary to accomplish the task(s) represented in the photos.  Add these to the display.  You might also list the "things that got in the way."

bulletGenerate an "I'm proud of _____ because _____." list related to the challenge(s) pictured.

bulletMake a list of alternative names for the challenge(s).

bulletWhen the bulletin board is taken down, incorporate the pictures and other materials into a "Cooperative Scrapbook."

bulletUse images and narrative in classroom newsletter that goes home to parents.  (Ask Dave to email .jpeg files for pictures if he has not already done so.)

bulletWork with children to create a PowerPoint presentation.

If you can think of other ways these photos can be used, please be sure to share them with Dave so that he can share them with others.
